Studio / Philosophy

We craft software that respects your time and your data.

LeeForge is an independent software studio designing and building useful digital products — apps, games and tools for everyday life. Whatever we make should be simple to use, respectful of your time, and honest about the data it needs. Our first apps, FocusQuest and WordQuest, open straight into what you came to do, keep your data on your device, and work without an account.

01 — Core principles

Principles we build by.

The same rules apply to every app we release.

  1. 01 —

    Thoughtful Product Design

Every screen is pared down to the interactions that matter. We treat whitespace and typography as functional tools.

  2. 02 —

    Practical Technology

Proven, native technology for each platform, lean dependencies, and no more infrastructure than a product truly needs.

  3. 03 —

    Simple User Experiences

Products get you to what you came for quickly — no unnecessary steps, sign-ups or permissions.

  4. 04 —

    Honest by Default

Every product ships with its own privacy policy that says exactly what it does — including ads — and is updated when that changes.

02 — How we work

Small studio, high standard.

  • 01

    Single-purpose focus

Each product does one job well, without unrelated features bolted on.

  • 02

Only the data a product needs

We collect nothing a product does not need to work. Our current apps keep everything you create on your device — no servers of ours hold your words or study sessions.

  • 03

    Direct support

Bug reports and questions are read and answered by the people who build the products — no ticket bots.

03 — Foundations

Built on solid foundations.

The technical baseline shared by our current Android apps:

Minimum Android
8.0 (API 26)
UI toolkit
Jetpack Compose
Local storage
Room (SQLite) + DataStore
Accounts
None required
Ads
Google AdMob + consent form (UMP)
04 — Approach

Our engineering approach.

How a small team turns an everyday annoyance into an app you can install.

  1. Discover

    Find the friction

Start with something genuinely annoying in everyday life, and ask what software could take away.

  2. Design

    Make it simple

Shrink the problem before adding features. Fewer screens, fewer steps, fewer decisions.

  3. Build

    Build the real thing

Ship an app people can install and use every day — not a prototype or a demo.

  4. Improve

    Keep improving

Listen to feedback, fix what breaks, and refine what matters with every update.
