FocusQuest — Privacy Policy
What FocusQuest stores
FocusQuest keeps your study data only on your device:
- the subjects you create (name, emoji, color),
- your focus sessions (subject, start/end time, duration, XP and coins earned),
- your rewards, achievements and app settings (e.g. daily goal, theme).
There is no account, and we don't ask for your name, email or phone number. We run no servers, and your study data is never sent to us.
Backup
If Android backup is enabled on your device, Android may back up FocusQuest's study database and settings to your own Google account (Google Drive) and restore them on a new device. This is managed by Android and Google under your account settings. We cannot access it. You can turn it off in your device's backup settings.
Advertising
FocusQuest shows ads through Google AdMob. It never shows ads while you are focusing. To show and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect device information, including the advertising ID, IP address and ad interactions. Where required (for example in the EEA and UK), you are asked for consent through Google's consent form, and you can change your choice later. See Google's policy: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites (opens in a new tab)
Rewarded ads are optional. Watching one gives a small in-app reward, for example double coins for a completed session, a daily chest, a Streak Freeze or a 24-hour theme trial.
Permissions
- Notifications: show the running timer, alert you when a session or a break ends, and send the daily study reminder if you turn it on. Optional.
- Alarms (exact alarms): end your focus session on time, even when the app is closed.
- Run at startup: restore a running timer after your phone restarts.
Children
FocusQuest is not directed at children under 13.
Deleting your data
You can delete single sessions and subjects inside the app. Uninstalling the app deletes all study data on the device. Backups in your Google account follow your Google backup settings.
Changes
We will update this page and its effective date if our practices change.
